I am a full time Barre instructor and teach on a variety of surfaces and mats - these provide the perfect level of grip and support and fit like a glove! YES! Finally a good durable barre shoe!
I cannot tolerate toe socks, and I needed something that makes me feel safe on the reformer. It has to be something I can wear that allows my toes to splay, doesn't but doesn't have to be replaced all the time, like grippy socks. These silicone sandal/shoes are perfect. The entire sole grips, and feels very secure when I work out. They clean easily with soap and water, and feel like they will last a good long while. The only downside is they are harder to put on and take off but the straps can be adjusted to fit around the shape of the foot. They are pricey, but I have easily spent over $100 on grippy socks at my studio, so in the long run, it's worth it. Yep. Buy them.
I saw a person in my Pilates class wearing these and I was curious. After looking them up, I'll admit I was skeptical paying so much for "socks". After a little justification on my head (I've likely spent that much or more on grip socks as I explored which type I liked better and the grips just wearing out), I decided to give these a go. There's a little learning curve wearing them for the first time, however you get used to them. The biggest thing was being used to sliding my foot in socks vs these grip so well you need to pick up your for and move it on the footbar or have your strap in the right place for feet in straps. These are so secure there's no sliding or tie wedgies doing lunges. My side planks, I'm not moving! And these clean up just with a rinse! These are definitely worth the purchase. I can't wait for the black to come back in stock in my size.
I bought these for BARRE class and really love them, but I’ve also use them for kayaking and being able to walk on our dock without slipping — love the quality and the fit! EASY ON / EASY OFF.
Finally, a **** AND functional AND comfy foot covering for dancing!
I LOVE these grippy water shoes, they're just as described. Comfy, easy to wash, they hug my feet through dance movements. Our bellydance troupe has been trying to find flattering open-toe dance shoes for an upcoming outdoor performance that don't detract from our costumes like ballet slippers or jazz shoes, or heeled ballroom shoes) ... we needed something that mimics the traditional barefoot bellydance experience we're used to while protecting the ball and heel. These do the trick! While grippy indoors for yoga, they allow easy spins on concrete outdoors...though of course we don't expect them to withstand too much rough usage like this. If barreletics could combine the rubbery uppers with a reinforced suede (or equivalent non-grip material) on the ball & sole you could corner the market on ****, unique 'barefoot' dance shoes for both indoor & outdoor performances! Fun note, I was even able to make them a shimmery bronze with Rub & Buff metallic wax to match our costumes!!
I was constantly buying Pilates socks and they constantly lost grip to the point I would fall off the foot bar. These shoes are amazing and have a great grip and I feel secure when using the reformer.
I used to lose focus constantly adjusting my socks during mat pilates. Barreletics skins stay in place and let me focus on my workout. My form is better and my strength is increasing because my workouts are so much more engaging!
I have to say my bridging on the Pilates reformer has improved remarkably with the barreletics foot wear! It took a couple classes to get use to the fit but the grip is incredible! I ordered a large per recommendation which work well but I think a medium may work better. Love them!
I found these to have great grip and they fit well enough. I was nervous about my feet sweating while I was working out, but that did not happen. Based on the suggestion, I ordered the large( 8 with. Wide foot), but I think I could have gotten away with a medium. Will order a medium next. Thank you!
My love hate relationship with the sock has finally come to a ceremonial end!!! The vast improvement during the first minute of barre class, with my new barreletics performance skin shoes, is beyond words. It's as if i was climbing a mountain barefoot and stumbled upon a new invention called a hiking boot. My practice is now all about how much I am willing to put into my workout and not fixing a sock the entire class that does nothing anyway...
I was surprised how nice the shirt was when it arrived. It's super comfy during class, wicking moisture. I wanted something super light- the material and cut makes the shirt unnoticeable. Compared to other brands I purchased, its a far cheaper hidden gem.
These grippy shoes are amazing. I work out in my home on carpet without shoes. I was having difficulty with some of the exercises because I felt like I was slipping on the carpet. My friend and I bought these hoping they would help give us more stability. They work so great. They are designed very well and provide support for my archless foot. I also am looking forward to trying them in Costa Rica. I have a home there with wood floors. I don't use shoes on the floors to protect them, but I am so excited to use these. I'm going to buy another pair.
I tried these grip shoes in my Lagree megaformer class. They were comfortable, hugs my feet, and no plantar fasciitis pain! I can’t believe I waited so long to get them. Definitely buy 2 or more!
I looked at these Pilates shoes for over a year thinking “Way too expensive.” Well, I can't tell you how much I spent on Pilates socks that got ruined and stretched out of shape in no time. They never made me feel secure in my footage. Then as a birthday gift to myself, I got these. Game Changer. Great Support and Confidence say it all. Do not wait BUY THEM. Worth every penny!
I was looking for a "good" pair of Pilates socks and came across what I thought was a ridiculously priced alternative. I sat on the idea for a couple of weeks but finally decided to take the plunge. I did sign up for an account for a 10% discount but I still held my breath until they arrived. After my first class my reaction was: absolutely worth it.
